Rhapsody launches VR app – Hypergrid Business

Music streaming service Rhapsody released a virtual reality application this week, Rhapsody VR, for Cardboard-compatible headsets.

“Weâ€™re excited to unveil the latest project weâ€™ve launched â€” Rhapsody VR, a virtual reality app that immerses you in a live concert experience by dropping you onstage with the artists,” the company said in its announcement.

Rhapsody VR is available on iOS and Android and features exclusive live performances, including Talib Kweliâ€™s classic â€œGet Byâ€ and two performances by the up-and-coming Flatbush Zombies, â€œBath Saltâ€ and â€œBounce.â€

Other artists featured in theÂ app include The Blind Shake, Low Cut Connie, Big Ups, Eli â€œPaperboyâ€ Reed, Sweet Spirit and Shannon and The Clams.

The company said it will add fresh content every month.
